GtechDrill Offers a Complete Solution

Geotechnical investigations are made to measure the general ground, subsoil and rock conditions, and to get geotechnical information to lay the groundwork for your projects. GtechDrill has technical knowledge and experience in mineral exploration core drilling. Our team is dedicated to providing you with the best sampling solutions.

Why

geotechnical?

Based on our strong experience in mineral exploration core drilling, our drill rigs are designed to sustain harsh conditions and are adaptable to various surface types. Tested on the field, our cutting-edge manufacturing processes allow us to offer reliable, high-performance products designed specifically to meet our customers’ needs and expectations.

Frequently asked questions

  1. What is the maximum diameter of shallow auger that can be used with the GT8?

  2. Is it possible to do a CPT with the GT8?

  3. Can the drill rig be installed on a truck?

  4. But the drill rig is heavy.

  5. The GT8 seems too high

  6. Is it possible to install a 300 lb. SPT hammer?

What is the maximum diameter of shallow auger that can be used with the GT8?

A maximum shallow auger diameter of 48 cm (19 in.) can be used with the GT8 Geotechnical Drill.

Is it possible to do a CPT with the GT8?

The GT8 drill rig is perfect for CPTs thanks to precise speed control of the feed cylinder. The GT8 provides excellent control of CPT drive speed.

Can the drill rig be installed on a truck?

The GT8’s modular design means it can be installed on a 26,000 lb. truck with one or two PTOs.

But the drill rig is heavy.

The GT8 offer unparallelled performance, and more torque, speed and precision than a CME-55. It’s heavy, but it gets the job done faster.

The GT8 seems too high

We offer a 114 in. (2.9 m) option, which maintains a 22 in. (56 cm) floor clearance.

Is it possible to install a 300 lb. SPT hammer?

Yes, no problem. In addition, the GT8 gives you the ability to vary the speed of the hammer cylinder and the GT8 head for very soft terrain.

Why have a mast dump?

The mast dump makes it possible to get set up quickly on all kinds of terrain without having to adjust the jacks. It also allows you to drill on an angle and to get closer to the ground.

Why use a hydraulic drill rig for augering?

Hydraulic systems provide precise control of RPMs. It’s possible to rotate the head 1/4 turn for rapid auger adjustment. In addition, if the drill rig applies a maximum torque, nothing will break, and only pressure is released. At the end of the day it adds up to less maintenance and better ease of use.

For Various Applications

Our GtechDrill rigs will help you bring stability to the most complex projects in any conditions. With a top rotation speed of 965 RPM, you’ll save both time and money.
