  • WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM DIAMETER OF SHALLOW AUGER THAT CAN BE USED WITH THE GT8?

    A maximum shallow auger diameter of 48 cm (19 in.) can be used with the GT8 Geotechnical Drill.

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO INSTALL A 300 LB. SPT HAMMER?

    Yes, no problem. In addition, the GT8 gives you the ability to vary the speed of the hammer cylinder and the GT8 head for very soft terrain.

  • WHY HAVE A MAST DUMP?

    The mast dump makes it possible to get set up quickly on all kinds of terrain without having to adjust the jacks. It also allows you to drill on an angle and to get closer to the ground.

  • THE GT8 SEEMS TOO HIGH

    We offer a 114 in. (2.9 m) option, which maintains a 22 in. (56 cm) floor clearance.

  • BUT THE DRILL RIG IS HEAVY.

    The GT8 offer unparallelled performance, and more torque, speed and precision than a CME-55. It’s heavy, but it gets the job done faster.

  • WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM DIAMETER OF SHALLOW AUGER THAT CAN BE USED WITH THE GT8?

    A maximum shallow auger diameter of 19 in. (48 cm) can be used with the GT8 Geotechnical Drill.

  • IS IT POSSIBLE TO DO A CPT WITH THE GT8?

    The GT8 drill rig is perfect for CPTs thanks to precise speed control of the feed cylinder. The GT8 provides excellent control of CPT drive speed.

  • CAN THE DRILL RIG BE INSTALLED ON A TRUCK?

    The GT8’s modular design means it can be installed on a 26,000 lb. truck with one or two PTOs.
